Yes, our large eco-friendly yard is based in Campbellfield, north of Melbourne. We sort, separate and recycle up to 90% of the materials collected from the skip bins. Remaining waste is disposed of appropriately and safely.

We provide a variety of bin sizes for your convenience, which range from 2m3 up to 33m3. We also have 1.5m3 crane bins for commercial and industrial sites. Our bin types include both skip lift and hook lift.

As bookings vary each day, you will need to contact our office on 1800GTSKIPS (1800487547) during business hours to check availability for a same day service. Alternatively, we guarantee next day delivery on bookings made by 3pm and this can be booked via our website or by calling us directly.

Our bins are hired out for a maximum period of 5 days (including the date of delivery) for residential bookings and 14 days* for commercial and industrial sites (*applicable to account holders only). If you require a bin for a longer period of time, please contact our office on 1800GTSKIPS (1800487547) to discuss your extended hire requirements (additional charges may apply for extended hire periods).

We provide a range of residential and commercial sized bins for hire and we work with customers in various industries including:

We do not accept any liquids, chemicals, gas cylinders, protrusive waste or hazardous materials including, but not limited to asbestos, in our skip bins or at our recycling yard. Please refer to “waste types and recycling”.

Our operating hours are as follows:
Monday – Friday : 7:00am – 5:00pm
Saturday : 8:00am – 1:00pm
Sunday : Closed

We service our sites 6 days a week from Monday – Saturday. There are two service time slots for bookings per day. AM bookings are from 7am – 12pm and PM bookings are from 12pm – 5pm. Please note commercial sites can be serviced earlier than 7am where required. Although we cannot provide a definite time, our friendly and professional staff will do their best to deliver and pick up the skip bin at a suitable time.

Skip bins should not be filled any higher than the top rim. All waste/materials should be level with the top of the bin for safety purposes. If the bin is overfilled, we will not remove the bin from your site address, which may result in additional charges.

We require at least 24 hours notice when placing a booking, however, we suggest providing as much notice as possible to ensure you are able to get a skip bin or arrange a pick up that best suits your requirements.

All skip bins are paid for at the time of booking either via our online booking system or over the phone via credit/debit card. Any additional fees such as excessive waste, mattress disposal, tyre disposal or hazardous waste disposal will be required to be paid for prior to the skip bin being collected.

Yes, we offer commercial accounts to customers who use our bins on a regular basis. Please contact our office on 03 9111 1743 during business hours to see if you meet the criteria. Alternatively, feel free to email us at info@gtskips.com.au.

The price of the bin includes GST. Additional charges apply if you have mattresses or tyres that will be placed in the bin. There will also be extra charges if the following occur:

• The booking is cancelled at short notice;
• The driver is made to wait on site for longer than a 15min period;
• The driver cannot pick up the bin for any reason out of their control;
• The bin exceeds it’s maximum weight capacity and/or is overfilled;
• Placement on Council land

We are required to obtain a permit when the bin is placed on Council land. We are accredited with all of the Councils within our service area and we arrange the permit on your behalf as part of your booking. Depending on the Council, placement of bin and length of time the permit is required, permit costs will vary and payable by you in addition to the cost of the bin hire. Please note that we require at least 24 hours notice to process a permit application prior to skip bin placement.

The skip bin can be filled up to the rim of the bin, however must not exceed beyond this point. Please advise if your waste will be heavy, such as concrete and/or soil/dirt as there are specific bins and trucks which can hold this type of weight safely and effectively.
